ABOUT
WHAT THIS IS

Welcome to my portfolio! As I finish up my freshman year at Penn State University (State College, PA), I decided to compile some of my work from the past two semesters. Here you will find projects and writing pieces from my two-semester Rhetoric and Civic Life class plus an  engineering design class. People are more than their schoolwork so hopefully the Activities section (below) and Travel tab help you see a quick, but broad, snapshot of my life.

Activities

Here are some pictures of the clubs and organizations and I am involved in.

Best Buddies is a national organization I have been part of since high school. Members pair up with people in the community with intellectual disabilities and form great bonds of frienship. The far left picture is from PSU Best Buddies's Winter Ball. On the right is a picture from the "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign, which works to end the derogatory use the "R" word while encouraging the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the community.

Penn State's Schreyer Honors College hosted a trip to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for Hershey Primary Care day. Students heard from admissions panels and current medical students. Plus we participated in two different clinical exams. The picture on the right is in front of the Children's Hospital where much of the money raised from PSU's annual THON goes.

The far left pictures is of a luminaria I decorated for Penn State's Relay for Life 2015. Participants walked around the track for a total of 24 hours. The picture on the right shows me on the floor of the Bryce Jordan Center for THON 2015 with two other friends from my organization, Schreyer Honors College Student Council. THON is a 46-hour dance marathon raising money for the Four Diamonds Fund.

I love being a Nittany Lion and part of the greatest student section in the country.
